Job summary

A prominent recruitment agency is seeking a Chief Financial Officer for a leading Asian food company in Amstelveen. The role demands 15+ years of finance experience and requires near-native Korean fluency. As the CFO, you will oversee financial strategies, manage business operations, and act as the primary liaison with headquarters. This is an onsite expat position with full visa support.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounting and treasury operations at overseas subsidiaries.

• Ensure robust internal controls and risk management frameworks are in place.
• Act as a key liaison to headquarters for all business support-related matters.
• Lead organizational operations and personnel management to strengthen team performance.

Are you an experienced finance professional who enjoys facilitating business growth?

We're currently working with a leading Asian food company known for its iconic FMCG food products, which have seen remarkable success in the European market. To further expand its presence, the company has launched a new European HQ in Amstelveen. As part of this exciting growth, we are looking for a CFO to help build a strong foundation for the European office together with the Global HQ, reporting to the CEO of the local office.

Please note that this role will be treated as an Expat based in Amstelveen, the Netherlands. Your visa will be fully supported by the company. We are open to all relevant candidates who are willing to relocate to the Netherlands.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage Business Management, Accounting, Finance, HR, and General Affairs functions
• Develop and execute financial strategies, including budget planning and forecasting
• Supervise accounting operations and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting
• Manage cash flow and treasury operations to support business growth
• Oversee tax filings and coordinate with external auditors as needed
• Ensure robust internal controls and risk management frameworks are in place
• Act as a key liaison to headquarters for all business support-related matters
• Lead organizational operations and personnel management to strengthen team performance.

Required Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in finance and accounting
• Near-native level fluency in Korean as well as business-level proficiency in English
• Experience in organization management within finance/accounting
• Experience in accounting and treasury operations at overseas subsidiaries
• Degree in business administration or related fields

The way of working:

This is an onsite role where you need to be in the office 5 days a week in the office in Amstelveen, the Netherlands. In this role, you will be treated as an Expat and will have an expat employment contract, and your visa will be sponsored by the company.
