Job summary

IDEXX is seeking a Finance Business Operation Intern (Global Business Services Intern) in Hoofddorp, Netherlands. You will join the European Finance Business Operations Team and handle order entry, checks and processing for multiple countries, interfacing with Sales, Marketing and Finance to ensure compliant flows.

We require a Finance/Business-focused student, fluent in English, with strong Excel and MS Office skills, who can work independently in a fast-paced, multinational environment.

Job description

As a Finance Business Operation Intern (Global Business Services Intern) at IDEXX, you will be at the heart of our Financial and order processing operations. You will be a part of the European Finance Business Operations Team, responsible for all accurate, timely and compliant order entry, checks and processing for some 21 countries.

In this role

The Global Business Services Team at IDEXX is responsible for processing and managing all orders and service contracts within EMEA. This involves topics such as billing adjustments, product returns, rebates, discounts and special pricing on which you will have contact with several internal stakeholders. You will be working directly with IDEXX Sales professionals, the Marketing Department and Finance to ensure smooth and compliant order flows.

Customer orders that come in through SAP or one of many mailboxes for capital products, standing orders, and service contracts are your responsibility. Our products are in such high demand, and the volume of orders coming in so big, that we require the successful candidate to excel in speed and accuracy. You are tech savvy, have an eye for detail, you can prioritize your workload and work well with a range of different stakeholders.

What You Will Need to Succeed

We are looking for a Business Management student with a Finance or Business focus, with love for numbers, good communication skills and the ability to multitask.

• You are available to start an internship either on January or February 2027 for a duration of six months.
• As we work in an international environment, fluency in English is a key, both written and verbal.
• Being assertive, taking initiative and being able to work independently.
• You enjoy working in a multi-national and multi-cultural environment.
• You are strong user of MS Office and especially Excel.
• You have the ability to work alone and, in a team, you are self-motivated, solutions driven, within a changing, fast-paced environment.

Some practical aspects

• You are available to start in January or February 2027 and can work with us for 6 months full-time (40 hours a week).
• You need to be enrolled as a student towards the attaining of a degree to be eligible for this internship and to secure university approval to start the assignment. If you are not an European national, you will also need to provide an approved Nuffic agreement.
• Our office is located in Hoofddorp, next to the train station (25 minutes from Amsterdam by train). This internship will be in a “hybrid” format with a requirement to work minimum two days from the office, the remaining days can be remote.
