Job description

Field Services Engineer

Reporting to the Manager Aftermarket Services. Work location: onsite in Amsterdam, NL.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for Moog Flight Simulation and Automotive Test products.
• Perform mechanical maintenance, overhauls, and service of electro‑mechanical and electrohydraulic systems.
• Diagnose complex technical problems and implement solutions individually or with team.
• Represent Moog at customer sites and foster strong customer relationships.
• Identify commercial opportunities and collaborate with sales to develop proposals.
• Work under machine breakdown conditions and provide on‑site support during extended hours.
• Organize service structure to support multiple Moog products and maintain configuration control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or equivalent MBO with at least 7 years of related experience.
• Strong diagnostic skills and ability to implement solutions.
• Experience with software tools, service applications, and configuration databases.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently (up to approximately 80% of the time).
• Planning and organization skills to ensure proper support, documentation, and configuration control for the global installed base.
• “Can do” mentality and commitment to exceed customer expectations.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.

Additional Requirements

Frequent travel (up to 80%) including weekends and extended stays. Ability to work overtime, evenings, and weekends as needed.
