Job summary

Clera is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to serve as the technical bridge between customers and our product team. You will own implementations from day one, scope requirements, and guide rollouts in fintech onboarding workflows.

Ideal candidates bring 4–5+ years in field/solutions engineering, deep API and Node.js/TypeScript experience, and comfort with PostgreSQL. Remote within Europe timezones preferred; occasional in-person meetups near Amsterdam are possible.

Qualifications

• 4 to 5+ years of relevant experience in field engineering, solutions engineering, technical implementation, or similar customer-facing technical roles.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting and resolving integration issues in production environments.
• Proficiency with modern web stacks and APIs, including REST, webhooks, or event-driven architectures.
• Production experience with Node.js, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
• Comfort with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, including data modeling for integrations.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to scope requirements early and set implementations up for long-term success.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for integrations, onboarding, and product rollouts.
• Troubleshoot integration issues in production environments and guide customers toward scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to identify and resolve friction in implementation flows.
• Improve documentation, tooling, and internal processes to make future implementations faster and smoother.
