Job summary

Hai Robotics Europe is seeking a Field Application Engineer to oversee installation and commissioning of our robotics systems at customer sites in the Netherlands and Germany. You will coordinate with service partners, ensure safety, and deliver hands-on support across hardware and software aspects.

Role requires travel to client warehouses for 2–4 weeks at a time, strong CAD and networking basics, and fluent English and Chinese.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Automation, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Software or related field.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to client sites.
• Hands-on hardware and software expertise with strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead service partners to install and commission robotics equipment at customer sites.
• Provide technical support, maintenance, and customer training.
• Manage on-site installation as site manager and ensure timely, safe completion.
• Respond to field service queries to ensure equipment availability and customer satisfaction.
• Train partners and accept hardware implementation after tasks.
• Work on-site at customer warehouses for 2–4 weeks or longer.

At Hai Robotics, we're on the lookout for exceptional individuals to join our team. As our ideal candidate, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the installation and commissioning of a diverse range of cutting-edge robotics equipment as well as providing customer support. A problem-solving mindset and hands-on expertise in both hardware and software aspects are essential.

You will be responsible for:

• Leading service partners to complete the installation and commissioning of equipment (including but not limited to wheeled robots and charging stations, moveable shelves, Racks, QR codes, picking stations, wiring facility construction, network equipment, fences, safety PLC control cabinet, and light curtain) to ensure timely, correct and safe completion of the work;
• Providing technical support, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of equipment, as well as customer training;
• Manage and track the on-site installation and commissioning work as a site manager;
• Quickly responding to service queries related to field services to ensure customer satisfaction and equipment availability;
• Training service partners and taking responsibility for the hardware implementation acceptance after partner's task;
• Other service-related work;
• Working at our customer sites for 2 - 4 weeks or longer

In addition to the above, you:

• Must: Possess minimum bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Automation, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Software or related background
• Can be based in the following countries: the Netherlands and Germany
• You will be working on-site in our client's warehouses, therefore, travel is required;
• Excellent hands-on skills, both in hardware and software;
• Fluency in Chinese and English in both oral and written form is a must

Nice to have:

• Recently graduated, or have a minimum of 2 years of engineering experience
• The ability to measure and draw CAD layouts;
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills;
• Basic knowledge of networks or databases or programming is preferred;
