Job summary

Chikara HR is seeking an Application Engineer, Device Expert to join our Eindhoven team, working with tier-1 manufacturers to model advanced semiconductor devices in detail. You will translate customer requirements into accurate device models and lead device-architecture discussions in demonstrations.

You will report to the Application Team Lead / Architect, collaborate with data analysis engineers and software teams, and travel to customer sites quarterly. Fluency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in physics, materials science, or electrical engineering with 3+ years at a tier-1 semiconductor maker or metrology supplier.
• Front-end-of-line (FEOL) device experience; back-end backgrounds not a fit.
• Hands-on 3D device modeling using Coventor, SEMulator3D or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Model customer semiconductor devices by understanding their process flows, layer structures, and specifications.
• Translate customer requirements into modelling tasks via direct interaction.
• Develop and refine device models and data processing recipes for each demo with the team.
• Lead device architecture discussions in customer meetings and demos.
• Collaborate with algorithms and software teams to guide new modelling methods.
• Adapt rapidly to new processes, requirements and internal software.
