Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in janitorial, custodial, or facilities cleaning work preferred.
• Experience operating floor care equipment (scrubbers, buffers) and pressure washers is a plus.
• A reliable, team-first attitude and willingness to take direction from the Facilities & Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices, and common areas on a daily schedule.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors throughout the facility, including production and warehouse areas.
• Operate floor scrubbers, buffers, and other light cleaning equipment; perform routine equipment cleaning and basic upkeep.
• Operate a pressure washer for exterior surfaces, dock areas, and other assigned spaces as needed.
• Collect and dispose of trash and recycling from all areas of the facility, and manage dumpster/compactor upkeep.
• Restock restroom, break room, and cleaning supplies; monitor inventory levels and flag shortages to the Facilities & Maintenance Manager.
• Perform minor upkeep tasks such as replacing light bulbs, tightening fixtures, and reporting maintenance issues that require a technician.
• Wipe down and disinfect high-touch surfaces (door handles, railings, switches) on a regular rotation.
• Set up and break down rooms or spaces for meetings, events, or visitors as requested.
• Follow all safety protocols when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment, including proper labeling and storage.
• Report facility damage, safety hazards, or repair needs promptly to the Facilities & Maintenance Manager.
• Maintain janitorial closets, carts, and equipment in clean, organized, and ready-to-use condition.
