Job summary

At Octatube in Delft, we are seeking a Metal Fabricator / Welder to turn designs into reality. You will weld, machine and assemble steel components from technical drawings, ensuring perfect fit and quality.

You’ll work with MIG/MAG and possibly TIG welding, read drawings, and collaborate with assembly and installation teams on bespoke projects. A mbo-level qualification in Metalworking or equivalent is required, plus a careful, precise approach and a willingness to obtain a VCA certificate.

Qualifications

• An mbo-level qualification in Metalworking, Fabrication/Welding, or relevant experience.
• Strong technical understanding and ability to read drawings easily.
• A careful, precise approach to your work, even with complex, bespoke components.
• You’re independent, but enjoy working as part of a team.
• A VCA certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
• A positive, curious attitude and the desire to keep learning and developing in your craft.

Responsibilities

• Weld, machine and assemble steel components from technical drawings.
• Build complete steel structures ready for on-site installation.
• Check measurements and alignments so everything fits perfectly.
• Contribute ideas to improve the manufacturability of designs.
• Use modern welding techniques (MIG/MAG and possibly TIG).
• Work in line with current standards and safety regulations
