Job summary

Hilton Rotterdam is looking for an F&B Shiftleader for Restaurant JAQ to lead the evening service and ensure flawless setup while maintaining the warm, relaxed ambiance JAQ is known for.

You will coach and motivate the team, coordinate with kitchen and bar, and support the Venue Manager to uphold Hilton standards. The role requires flexibility, strong leadership, and guest‑focused service in a busy dining environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in F&B or hospitality with supervisory or senior waiter experience.

What To Expect

You play a key role in ensuring our guests enjoy a perfect dinner at Restaurant JAQ. You will oversee the evening operation, from ensuring the setup is flawless, guiding the service team on the floor, to maintaining the warm and relaxed atmosphere JAQ is known for. You will lead by example, support the Venue Manager with daily operations, and ensure that Hilton standards are consistently met. You’ll coach and motivate the team, handle guest feedback with care, and ensure smooth communication with the kitchen and bar. The working hours are usually between 14:00 and 00:00, and a shift is normally 8 hours.

Who are you?

Skills

• Previous experience in F&D or hospitality, ideally in a supervisory or senior waiter role.
• Strong communication and leadership skills; you love motivating others.
• Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus, and the more languages, the better!).
• Availability to work flexible hours, mostly in the evening, including weekends and holidays.
• Guest-oriented mindset with great attention to detail.
• A proactive problem solver who can keep calm and positive under pressure.
• Basic food safety knowledge is great, but we will teach you the rest.
