Job summary

Generator Amsterdam is seeking an experienced and passionate leader to join our food & beverage team. As F&B Manager you will drive guest experience, supervise operations, and collaborate with the management team to deliver exceptional service.

You will focus on revenue growth, cost control, staff development and staying on top of health, safety and quality standards while embodying the 'Be Yourself' Brand. This role is based on-site in Amsterdam with a dynamic, globally inspired environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in F&B leadership roles.
• Strong customer service orientation and communication.
• Eligible to work in the EU.

Responsibilities

• Assist the F&B management team to create a smooth-running operation and provide an excellent service.
• Support with initiative and commitment to revenue, costs and teamwork.
• Take ownership of the guest journey to ensure a truly unique Generator experience.
• Respond quickly and efficiently to customer requests while maintaining a can-do attitude.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the F&B menu and services.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Fire Safety and Food Hygiene standards.
• Develop and train employees to meet required standards.

ABOUT GENERATOR AMSTERDAM

It’s pretty hard to get stressed in Amsterdam, but having a good time is easy. Generator Amsterdam is located in the up-and-coming eastern side of the city overlooking Oosterpark. This former zoological university building can accommodate 564 guests in 168 twin and quadruple rooms with incredible views on the surrounding and en-suite bathrooms. There is also one luxury apartment for six people with views of the park and a self-catered kitchen. It has flexible and spacious social areas, filled with creative design touches like glass-fronted elevators, a raised café and an outdoor terrace. We’ve turned the former lecture hall into an impressive chill-out lounge and bar, while the old library is now a relaxation and private events room. The basement and café are now dining destinations and the original boiler room has become a secret late-night bar.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Assist the F&B management team to create a smooth-running operation and provide an excellent service
• To support with initiative and commitment to the overall objectives of the business in terms of revenue, costs and teamwork
• Take ownership of the guest journey to ensure that we create a truly unique Generator experience
• Respond quickly and efficiently to all customer requests and enquiries, ensuring that you maintain a “can do” attitude at all times
• Demonstrate in depth knowledge of both the food and beverage menu
• Know all statutory legislation and ensure H&S, Fire Safety and Food Hygiene compliance
• Develop and train all employees within your charge in order that they perform to the required standard
• Communicate effectively so that the team understands its goals and is motivated to achieve them

• Be organised, hardworking and have an excellent appearance with a strong focus on guest requirements

• Available to work when needed
• You must be eligible to work in the EU to be considered for this role

YOUR EXPERIENCE

• Appropriate experience in the field of F&B
• A passion for trending Food and Drink concepts
• A passion for your city, for travelling and for trending food and drinks concepts
• Knowledge of contemporary interests and the city
