• Experience in hospitality/catering environments.

• Anticipate guest needs and provide service at the required level.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Provide assistance to the Head Chef/Sous Chef to help ensure the smooth running of foodservice operations
• Create high quality food to meet guest expectations and to maintain company standards
• Anticipate guests’ needs and provide service to the level they require
• Prepare, cook and present dishes within your speciality
• Manage and train any commis working with you
• Monitor portion and waste control to maintain profit margins
• Give input to the Head Chef on menu creativity with the courage to try something different and deliver innovative, locally inspired food & beverage offerings appropriate to the guest community
• Keep up to date with local food trends
• Carry out all preparatory tasks ensuring good quality produce at all times
• Constantly improve product knowledge to maximize revenue and service provided
• Know all statutory legislation and ensure H&S and Fire Safety compliance
• Ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety

• Experience working within the food industry in a similar role

• A passion for trending Food concepts locally and elsewhere
• Understand the food business and be passionate about maximising revenue
