Job summary

Mercure Amsterdam City is seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to lead our dynamic F&B operation. You will manage both service and culinary teams, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and strong business performance across restaurants, the bar, terrace and meeting spaces.

You will lead a hand-on, visible leadership team, drive quality and profitability, and collaborate closely with other department heads as a key member of the Hotel Management Team.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of leadership in Food & Beverage.
• Bachelor-level working and thinking ability.
• Proven experience managing and developing teams in hospitality.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills.
• Commercial awareness and a results-driven mindset.
• Fluency in Dutch and English (spoken and written).
• Hotel experience is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the F&B team and oversee restaurants, bar, terrace and meeting facilities.
• Directly manage a leadership team of three F&B Supervisors, Executive Chef and two Sous Chefs.
• Be a visible floor presence to support the team and guest experience.
• Drive operational quality and service standards across all F&B outlets.
• Monitor and optimize financial performance, productivity and profitability.
• Ensure workforce planning and talent development are efficient.
• Collaborate with other department heads as part of Hotel Management Team.
• Identify opportunities to improve guest satisfaction and revenue.
• Coach and empower the team through feedback and development.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and Mercure brand standards.
