Hotelprofessionals is hiring a F&B Employee for ibis Styles Rotterdam Ahoy. In this role, you will ensure that guests receive exceptional service from arrival to departure. Responsibilities include welcoming guests, serving food and drinks, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction.

This dynamic position offers various shifts and requires availability on weekends. With a focus on creating a welcoming atmosphere, this role provides a great opportunity within a fast-growing organization in the lively Hart van Zuid area of Rotterdam.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in F&B at a casual dining restaurant or hotel.
• Available at least two weekend days.
• Strong overview and organizational skills.
• Preferably residing in the Rotterdam area.

The ibis Styles Rotterdam Ahoy is looking for a hands‑on F&B Employee. In your role you report to the F&B shift leader.

The hotel has 250 rooms and is located in the 'Hart van Zuid', a stone's throw from the Rotterdam Ahoy Convention Center and the Zuidplein. The restaurant and terrace with a view over the Zuiderpark will become the Italian hotspot of Rotterdam South with freshly prepared Neapolitan Pizzas and Italian inspired cocktails. Together with the team, you do everything you can to ensure that the guest experience is optimal from arrival to departure. You put the human point of view at the center of everything you do. Duties And Responsibilities

• Welcoming and guiding hotel guests at the table;
• Answering guest questions/requests regarding allergies/wishes;
• Informing the guest about suggestions for drinks and food menus;
• Taking orders and giving (un)solicited advice;
• Serving (non-) alcoholic drinks and dishes;
• Clearing tables & upselling desserts/digestives;
• Promoting upselling such as starters and desserts, specialty beers, salumiere, etc;
• Providing an optimal service from the arrival of the guest to the departure;
• Other work requested by the F&B shift leader;

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience within the F&B department of a fast paced casual dining restaurant or hotel. If you don't have this, but you do have the enthusiasm and energy, we'd love to teach you;
• You are available for a minimum of two weekend days (friday, saturday & sunday)
• You have a good insight and can keep an overview;
• Preferably living in the Rotterdam area or having an affinity with the city;
• At least 2 languages (NL/ENG) and relational and communicative capable of communicating on different levels;
• You are a real team player and can smoothly increase the pace when necessary;
