Job summary

NewPort Tank Containers is seeking a logistics-focused coordinator who ensures smooth order processing from A to Z and acts as the main contact for customers. You will monitor shipments, verify documents for completeness, and coordinate with internal and external teams to keep operations running efficiently.

Ideal candidates are accurate, organized, and proactive, with strong communication skills. This is a full-time role based in the Netherlands, with an international team and onboarding

Responsibilities

Are you a communicatively strong adjuster with a passion for logistics? Do you make sure everything runs smoothly for your customers? Then we are looking for you!

You are the first point of contact for our customers and make sure their logistic processes run smoothly. You monitor and coordinate order processing from A to Z and keep all parties involved informed. In doing so, you check documentation for completeness and accuracy and monitor the operational process, steering on the basis of KPIs. You work closely with internal and external parties to ensure efficient handling.

What your day looks like:

You start your day with a fresh cup of coffee. With a focused look, you take a seat at your desk. You run through your pending shipments and priorities. Even before you open your mailbox, an urgent question comes in: a customer wants an update on a rush delivery. You immediately connect with your truck planning colleagues, verify the delivery status and notify the customer.

During the morning, you as a team have a brainstorming session on how to optimize the order processing process. During the session, different ideas about more efficient ways of working go back and forth. This gives you a lot of energy. When you want to start working on the ideas, the phone rings. A leak in one of our tank containers. You don\'t hesitate for a moment. You inform the appropriate colleagues, check the contents of the tank container and ensure that all safety protocols are observed. For a moment it seems tense, but fortunately the damage turns out to be not too bad. Thanks to your quick action, the impact remains limited and the transport can continue with minimal delay.

Time for lunch. Together with colleagues you enjoy a relaxing break, a game of table soccer or a short walk to clear your head.

In the afternoon you have a consultation with a customer about import documentation. You go through the required paperwork and advise on next steps. You find out that the Bill of Lading is missing. You quickly liaise with your international colleagues to ensure that the tank is imported without delay. Then you update the financial processing of your completed orders and check again on the status of ongoing shipments. Everything is running smoothly.

Before you finish your day, you\'ll walk by the Product Specialist and then the Tank Planning team. Customer Dust BV in your portfolio transports highly toxic substances, and a new harmful substance is coming soon. Together, you discuss the best way to ship it safely and efficiently. You exchange insights and arrive at a suitable solution for the customer. Feeling satisfied, you close your laptop. Tomorrow is another day!

What are we looking for in you?

• You are fluent in English. Do you also speak other languages? That is definitely a plus!
• We are looking for someone who is available full time. Are you available for 32 or 36 hours per week? Then we are happy to discuss the possibilities.
• Are you just starting out in the job market or do you already have some experience? We would like to get acquainted and see how we can support you in your development, while your fresh perspective can help us to further improve our processes.
• You have at least MBO-4 or HBO working and thinking level, but we think a good, positive commitment is most important.
• You are accurate, organized and keep a good overview of various ongoing processes.
• You have a proactive attitude and see and use opportunities to improve processes.
• You like to work together and communicate clearly with colleagues, customers and external partners.

• A salary between €2.700 and €3.750 per month, depending on your experience.
