NewPort Tank Containers in Moerdijk is seeking an Export CSR who keeps shipments running on time and within budget, acting as the first point of contact for customers.
You coordinate order processing from A to Z, check documents for completeness, monitor KPIs, and collaborate with shipping lines, trucking, depots and colleagues worldwide.
This full-time role requires fluent English, a proactive mindset, and strong organisational skills, with onboarding and international teamwork as core benefits.
Are you a strong problem-solver with a passion for logistics? Do you make sure everything runs smoothly for your customers? Then we’re looking for you!
Behind every tank container is an operation that has to run on time, on budget and by the rules. As an Export CSR, you’re right at the heart of it. We make sure our customer’s cargo reaches their customer. And by “we”, we mean: you!
You handle it from A to Z, across deep sea, intermodal and dangerous goods transport. You’re in touch with shipping lines, carriers, truckers and depots, and you talk to customers, suppliers and agents all over the world. Across every time zone, because we never stop.
You’re never on your own. You work in our Export team, part of an operation of around 20 direct colleagues in four teams: Imports, Exports, Special Tanks and Equipment Planning & Control (EPC).
Together with your teammates, the Product Specialists and our colleagues in other countries, you solve it, whatever the problem is.
You’re the first point of contact for our customers and make sure their export shipments run smoothly. You monitor and coordinate order processing from A to Z and keep everyone involved informed. You check documentation for completeness and accuracy, monitor the operational process and steer on KPIs. You work closely with internal and external partners to keep handling efficient.
You start your day with a fresh cup of coffee. Focused, you sit down at your desk and run through your pending shipments and priorities. Before you’ve even opened your mailbox, an urgent question comes in: a customer wants an update on a rush delivery. You immediately connect with your truck planning colleagues, verify the status and update the customer.
In the morning, your team has a brainstorming session on how to optimise order processing. Ideas for more efficient ways of working fly back and forth, and it gives you a lot of energy. Just as you want to start on them, the phone rings: a leak in one of our tank containers. You don’t hesitate for a moment. You inform the right colleagues, check the contents of the tank container and make sure all safety protocols are followed. For a moment it’s tense, but fortunately the damage turns out to be limited. Thanks to your quick action, the impact stays small and the transport continues with minimal delay.
Time for lunch. Together with colleagues you enjoy a relaxing break, a game of table football or a short walk to clear your head.
In the afternoon, you meet a customer about the export documentation. You go through the required paperwork and advise on next steps. Then you notice the Bill of Lading is missing. You quickly liaise with your international colleagues so the tank can be shipped without delay. After that, you update the financial processing of your completed orders and check the status of ongoing shipments once more. Everything is running smoothly.
Before you finish your day, you stop by the Product Specialist and then the Tank Planning team. Customer "Stof BV" in your portfolio transports highly toxic substances, and a new harmful substance is coming soon. Together, you discuss how to ship it safely and efficiently, exchange insights and find the right solution for the customer.
Feeling satisfied, you close your laptop. Tomorrow is another day!
You must have a valid work and residence permit for the Netherlands; NewPort does not offer visa sponsorship for this position.
Our office is in Moerdijk and isn’t easy to reach by public transport. A car of your own is therefore required.
