Job summary

Moco Museum in Amsterdam invites applications for an Exhibition & Collection Intern at our Headquarters. You will work closely with the Chief of Exhibition & Collection, the Head of Collections and Project Managers across all aspects of exhibition production and collection management.

This dynamic role offers hands-on experience in project execution, coordination, admin support and logistics while integrating into a bold, art-forward team that values curiosity, collaboration and learning.

Qualifications

• Dutch fluency required (native or professional).
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Currently a student in a related field.
• Availability for 12 months.
• Time management and prioritization.
• Structured and detail-oriented.
• Flexible and adaptable under pressure.
• Problem-solving and resourceful thinking.
• Strong interest in modern and contemporary art.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support exhibition production and signage.
• Liaise with suppliers and contractors for exhibitions.
• Assist in project planning and production of exhibitions.
• Coordinate cross-department needs for exhibitions.
• Assist with exhibition calendar administration and planning tools.
• Support content updates for audio tour and website with content team.
• Perform general office tasks: agenda management, note-taking, correspondence.
• Coordinate small-scale facility or renovation-related exhibition projects.
• Produce exhibition materials: decks and briefing documents.
• Assist with internal and external communication related to exhibitions.
• Assist sourcing and ordering of exhibition supplies and materials.
• Maintain and update the collection database.
• Support internal artwork movements and documentation for lenders.
• Help gather provenance research and loan documentation.
