Job summary

Merck Gruppe - MSD Sharp & Dohme in Boxmeer is seeking an Executive Director, Operations to own end-to-end manufacturing execution across SQDC, leading four Integrated Production Teams and Operations Services for ~1000 colleagues.

You will drive site strategy, GMP compliance, and continuous improvement while developing high-performing teams and ensuring reliable supply. Strong leadership and global manufacturing experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Life Sciences, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing operations, including leadership of large-scale organizations.
• Proven track record of sustained operational performance in complex manufacturing environments, including technology transfer experience.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end Manufacturing execution performance across SQDC.
• Lead four Integrated Production Teams (Antigen, Live, IVP, Packaging) and Operations Services to a cohesive execution system.
• Execute the site production plan with rigor, identify constraints, escalate risks, and track performance.
• Ensure GMP compliance and inspection readiness; foster a Safety First, Quality Always culture.
• Drive Lean and Continuous Improvement to boost productivity, yield, and cycle time.
