Job summary

Soho House Amsterdam is seeking a Private Events Supervisor to lead a small team and respond promptly to client inquiries with information on venue availability, costs, and catering options.

You will manage group bookings and VIP requests, prepare proposals and contracts, and coordinate with operations to deliver cost-effective, high-quality events. Excellent English and Dutch are essential, and a hospitality/events degree is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in hospitality or events is required.
• Experience with event coordination and client communication is desirable.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Dutch is required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to client inquiries with detailed information on venue availability, cost, and food & beverage options.
• Lead a team of two coordinators and report to the Head of Sales.
• Prepare proposals, contracts, deposits, and internal communications.
• Update catering and hotel software daily; prepare function sheets.
• Tour and inspect event spaces; conduct site inspections with prospects and clients.
• Distribute daily events reports and communicate requirements across departments.
• Collaborate with Operational Management to ensure cost-effective, well-planned events.
• Assist with invoices and financial administration; support Events Managers.
