Job summary

Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam is seeking a sous chef to lead the kitchen team and ensure high-quality dishes with strong presentation. The role emphasizes hygiene, teamwork, and a proactive approach during busy periods in our evening-focused schedule.

You will work in a 4-star hotel environment connected to event spaces, delivering memorable guest experiences while maintaining the Mövenpick standards. Evening shifts are typical, with opportunities to progress.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience as a junior sous chef.
• Preferably an SVH chef’s diploma or another similar diploma.
• Knowledge of the HACCP regulations or willingness to follow the training course for this.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the kitchen flow and ensure all dishes meet our standards in taste and presentation.
• Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure tasks are performed correctly.
• Ensure hygiene and cleanliness throughout the kitchen and direct improvements where needed.
• Be the flexible producer during busy times, ready to jump in where needed.
