European OT Delivery Leader — Senior Principal PM

Job summary

Aspen Technology is seeking an experienced project leader to own end-to-end delivery of OT software projects for European utilities. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, quality and customer satisfaction, working with senior engineers, executives and the sales team.

In this role you will build and run plans, manage risks, control costs, and lead diverse teams across Europe. Travel 25–75% and strong commercial sense are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience managing large-scale software or systems delivery.
• Experience in power utilities: generation, transmission, or distribution.
• Full P&L accountability for customer projects.
• Experience leading multicultural teams in a matrix organisation.
• Fluent English written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel across Europe 25–75%.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver project plans aligned to contractual commitments.
• Manage risks and issues with tailored mitigation plans.
• Set and enforce quality standards through regular reviews.
• Lead formal project closure with lessons learned and handover to support.
• Manage budgets, forecasts and financial reporting, including revenue recognition and milestone billing.
• Control costs and allocate resources to protect margin.
• Lead multicultural project teams and build relationships with sponsors and stakeholders.
• Report progress and decisions clearly to executives and sponsors.
• Support pre-sales with proposal, deal and contract reviews focusing on scope, risk and terms.
