Senior European Project Manager, OT Software for Utilities

Job summary

AspenTech is looking for an experienced senior delivery leader to own end-to-end OT software projects for European utilities. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, quality and customer satisfaction, and lead multicultural teams in a matrix organisation.

You will also strengthen the European delivery model, support pre-sales reviews, and ensure robust handovers to support. Fluent English is required and travel across Europe is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Systems Engineering.
• 8+ years managing large-scale software or systems delivery in power utilities.
• Experience leading multicultural technical teams in a matrix organisation.
• Fluent English, spoken and written.
• Willingness to travel across Europe 25–75%.
• PMP, PRINCE2 or IPMA certification a plus.
• Hands-on EMS, SCADA, ADMS or similar control-room systems.
• Dutch or German; another European language is valued.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Build and run project plans aligned to contractual commitments.
• Manage risks and issues with mitigation plans tailored to each project.
• Set and enforce quality standards through regular project reviews.
• Lead formal project closure: reviews and handover to support.
• Own the numbers: budgets, forecasts and financial reporting.
• Control costs and allocate resources to protect margin.
• Spot change requests and pursue opportunities with sales.
• Lead multicultural project teams across a matrix organisation.
• Build trusted relationships with customer sponsors and stakeholders.
• Report progress, risks and decisions to executives and sponsors.
• Improve delivery by embedding a European delivery model and governance.
