Job summary
Nouryon is seeking a Director of Europe Indirect Procurement to lead a global team across 25 plants and manage MRO, facility, and services procurement from Amsterdam. The role partners with Operations, Engineering, Finance, R&D and regional leadership to maximize TCO and drive stakeholder value.
The candidate should have 8+ years in procurement leadership in manufacturing or chemicals, strong influence in senior leadership, and fluency in English.
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field.
- 8+ years of progressive procurement leadership experience in manufacturing, chemicals or heavy-industry environments.
- 5+ years in global indirect procurement leadership for related categories.
- Fluency in English, both verbal as well as in writing.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement global strategies for European plant indirect categories and CapEx procurement.
- Build and transform the Indirect Procurement organization with inhouse capabilities and a performance-focused culture.
- Champion adoption of global buying channels to improve user experience and process efficiency.
- Lead major global sourcing initiatives (RFIs/RFPs), supplier selection and complex contract negotiations, delivering TCO improvements.
- Act as key business partner for Regional Operations, Engineering, Plant Leadership, Finance, Supply Chain and Legal.
- Drive planning, budgeting, compliance and project execution for indirect and CapEx categories with measurable performance.
- Lead and develop a global team across four regions, mentoring high-potential employees.
