Job summary

Nouryon is seeking a Regional Category Manager to lead the regional sourcing agenda for raw materials from our Amsterdam office. You will develop regional strategies, negotiate with suppliers, and collaborate across functions to optimize total cost of ownership and sustainabilty.

Based in Amsterdam, you will manage regional tenders, drive supplier relationships, and translate global strategies into regional action plans, leveraging data to influence senior stakeholders and impact regional

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Chemistry, or related field.
• 5+ years’ experience in strategic procurement or category management.
• Experience with regional raw material categories and tenders (Coupa or similar).
• Strong negotiation with senior suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Fluent in English (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement regional sourcing strategies for Sodium Silicate and Transactional Categories.
• Translate global category strategies into regional execution plans.
• Conduct regional market intelligence, cost-driver analysis, and risk assessments.
• Lead regional contract and price negotiations to secure value.
• Plan and execute regional tenders using digital procurement platforms (Coupa).
• Collaborate with Operations, R&D, Supply Chain, Finance and Quality.
• Perform supplier segmentation and conduct performance reviews.
• Lead cost-out programs and value engineering to improve regional margin.
