Job summary

HelloFresh in Amsterdam is seeking an FSQA Manager to oversee the processed category. You will lead supplier onboarding, quality improvements, and CAPA efforts across Europe, ensuring EU compliance and HelloFresh standards.

You will audit suppliers, track performance metrics, and support cross-functional teams in Procurement, Sourcing, and Distribution to raise overall product safety and customer satisfaction. A science-based degree and HACCP knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Science-based degree in fields like Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Biology or Chemistry.
• Several years of experience in Food Safety or Quality Management within the food industry; exposure to processed foods, thermal processing, or high-care packaging is a plus.
• Experience auditing food manufacturers against GFSI standards (BRCGS, IFS, FSSC 22000), with familiarity with HACCP principles.
• Working knowledge of EU food safety legislation and allergen management.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with suppliers across cultures.
• Proficiency with Google Suite / MS Office and willingness to travel within Europe (~20%).

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding of new suppliers and products, ensuring compliance with food safety, legal, shelf-life, traceability, and quality requirements.
• Drive strategic quality improvement initiatives with suppliers to reduce customer complaints and improve satisfaction.
• Track supplier performance metrics, including complaints, out-of-spec deliveries, compliance KPIs, and corrective action follow-up.
• Investigate quality incidents using root cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Conduct supplier audits and approval visits across Europe, ensuring compliance with EU food safety legislation and HelloFresh standards.
