Job summary

A growing manufacturing company in Noord-Brabant is seeking a Senior Quality & Food Safety Specialist to enhance its Quality team. In this hands-on position, you will ensure compliance with HACCP and FSSC22000 standards while supporting audits and driving continuous improvement. Candidates should possess extensive experience in food safety and hold a relevant degree. This role provides excellent visibility within the EU quality team and opportunities for professional growth in an international setting.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Quality/Food Safety within manufacturing or food production.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, FSSC22000, and related standards.
• Hands-on mindset with cross-functional collaboration.
• Hands-on mindset and confident working cross-functionally.
• Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Act as the site SME for HACCP and food safety programs.
• Support and lead internal and external audits.
• Drive compliance across food safety standards.
• Manage complaints and implement corrective actions.
• Managing complaints and ensuring robust corrective actions.
• Working closely with Operations and Engineering on continuous improvement initiatives.
• Supporting SOP development and quality system improvements.

Job description

I’m currently working with a growing manufacturing business in the Netherlands that is looking to strengthen its Quality team with a Senior Quality & Food Safety Specialist.

This is a hands‑on role where you’ll play a key part in maintaining and improving food safety and quality standards across multiple production sites.

What you’ll be doing:

• Acting as the site SME for HACCP and food safety programs
• Supporting and leading internal and external audits (customer, certification, regulatory)
• Driving compliance across FSSC22000, GMP+, and wider food safety standards
• Leading root cause investigations and CAPA activities
• Managing complaints and ensuring robust corrective actions
• Working closely with Operations and Engineering on continuous improvement initiatives
• Supporting SOP development and quality system improvements

What they’re looking for:

• Extensive experience in Quality / Food Safety within manufacturing or food production
• Strong knowledge of HACCP and FSSC22000 (GMP+ / SKAL Bio is a plus)
• Experience with audits, CAPA, and quality systems
• Hands‑on mindset and confident working cross‑functionally
• Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or similar
