Job summary

OTTO Health Care, in partnership with Envida Maastricht, seeks a Care assistant/Assistant nurse for elderly care. You join a 4‑month Dutch language and culture training at the OTTO Health Care Academy, after which a permanent contract is offered with Envida. The role is in Maastricht with onboarding support and housing arranged.

The position includes personal care, medication administration, observation, documentation, and teamwork to promote independence and follow care plans.

Qualifications

• Assistant nurse diploma (Level 3) is required.
• Experience in elderly care is welcome.
• Willing to learn Dutch language and culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities.

Join our program and take the first step toward working in the Netherlands with OTTO Health Care. We offer a free Dutch language and culture program to help you feel confident and prepared. This 4-month training takes place at our OTTO Health Care Academy in the Netherlands, so you will already be immersed in your new environment from day one.

Your new employer

As an care assistant / assistant nurse at Envida, you are the key figure in the care process. You work in a warm and supportive team and provide care to clients with somatic conditions or dementia.

Tasks

• Personal care: Assisting with washing, dressing, eating, and daily living activities (ADL).
• Medication administration: Administering medication according to prescription and monitoring intake.
• Observation & reporting: dentifying changes in health and wellbeing and reporting in the Electronic Client File.
• Documentation: Registering provided care and special observations accurately.
• Guidance & support: Providing emotional and social support to clients.
• Collaboration: Working closely with colleagues, nurses, doctors, therapists, and informal caregivers.
• Promoting independence: Encouraging clients to do as much as possible on their own.
• Working according to care plans: Following protocols and implementing agreed care plans.
• Problem-solving & escalations: Recognizing issues and consulting nurses or physicians when needed.
• Guidance & Integration: OTTO Health Care supports you from day one with language and cultural training.
• Guidance & Integration: We arrange housing and personal guidance so that you quickly feel at home.

What does your day look like?

• Start: Reviewing handover and planning your shift.
• Morning: Personal care, medication, and care assistant tasks.
• Afternoon: Activities, family contact, wellbeing checks, documentation.
• End of shift: Reporting and handing over to the next team.

What do we ask from you?

• Assistant nurse diploma (Level 3).
• Experience in elderly care is welcome.
• Hard skills:Care assistant tasks, medication management, care planning.
• Soft skills:Empathy, communication, resilience, teamwork.
• A driving license is helpful, butnot required.

What do we offer?

• Dutch language & culture training through OTTO Health Care.
• Apermanent contract at Envidaafter the onboarding period.
• Salary according to CAO VVT (2026):
  • Starting atFWG 35 – €3,294,84
  • For nurses who later obtain a BIG registration: growth toFWG 45. (€3,294.94 – €4,102.26)
• Up to36 hours per week.
• Location:Maastricht and surrounding areas.
