Job summary

Start People is seeking a technically skilled CNC Milling Machinist to manage the full production flow at the CNC machine. You will work with multiple CNC machines and coordinate with the CNC Programmer and Manufacturing Engineer to produce complex components safely and efficiently.

You will read drawings, set up machines, mill parts using 4- and 5-axis systems, and ensure quality and timely delivery while maintaining safety standards and supporting colleagues on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Works with technical drawings and ISO programs.
• Experience with CNC machining.
• Able to set up machines and tools.
• Ability to work with multiple CNC machines (Siemens controls).

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings, specs, and work orders.
• Set up CNC machines and secure materials and tools.
• Mill one-off parts and complex products using 4- and 5-axis machines.
• Inspect own work for quality and timeliness.
• Coordinate with team and participate in meetings.
• Support and guide colleagues and interns as needed.
• Contribute ideas for manufacturability and improvements.
• Help transition prototypes to production releases.
