Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Engineering Leader to grow and empower its software teams in Amsterdam. The role focuses on coaching engineers, delivering high-quality software, and shaping the group’s technical direction within an agile, DevOps-first environment.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in software engineering, 4+ years in people leadership, and a strong foundation in system architecture, SDLC, and cloud technologies, including .NET, Azure, and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience managing engineering teams.
8+ years of professional experience as a software engineer.
Proven ability to develop, mentor, and coach engineers.
Strong understanding of system architecture, SDLC, DevOps, and agile methodologies.
Experience working in the cloud (Azure is a plus, but other cloud providers are also valuable).
Experience driving innovation, process improvements, and adoption of best practices across teams.
Ability to influence technical direction and architectural decisions in collaboration with staff engineers and leadership.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to align stakeholders across engineering, product, and business.
A track record of creating an inclusive, collaborative, and high-trust engineering culture.
Hands-on experience with .NET as a core part of the stack is a plus.
