Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Engineering Leader to grow and empower its software teams in Amsterdam. The role focuses on coaching engineers, delivering high-quality software, and shaping the group’s technical direction within an agile, DevOps-first environment.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in software engineering, 4+ years in people leadership, and a strong foundation in system architecture, SDLC, and cloud technologies, including .NET, Azure, and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience managing engineering teams.
• 8+ years of professional experience as a software engineer.
• Proven ability to develop, mentor, and coach engineers.
• Strong understanding of system architecture, SDLC, DevOps, and agile methodologies.
• Experience working in the cloud (Azure is a plus, but other cloud providers are also valuable).
• Experience driving innovation, process improvements, and adoption of best practices across teams.
• Ability to influence technical direction and architectural decisions in collaboration with staff engineers and leadership.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to align stakeholders across engineering, product, and business.
• A track record of creating an inclusive, collaborative, and high-trust engineering culture.
• Hands-on experience with .NET as a core part of the stack is a plus.
