Job summary

Riverty, part of the Bertelsmann family, seeks an Engineering Lead for its Amsterdam/Berlin/Tallinn locations to guide multiple engineering teams in building the next generation of fintech solutions. You will own technical direction with a strong emphasis on performance, security and scalable architecture.

You will partner with Product and Tech Leadership to shape priorities, mentor Engineering Leads, and foster an environment where teams can operate with autonomy while delivering high-quality

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading engineering teams and developing engineering leaders.
• Broad software engineering and architectural expertise across frontend, backend, data and cloud technologies.
• Product and business mindset with ability to translate priorities into technical direction.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management across levels.

Responsibilities

• Shape and own the technical direction across multiple teams, translating architectural vision into clear priority guidelines.
• Lead, develop and grow a team of Engineering Leads, strengthening leadership capabilities.
• Drive engineering and delivery excellence at scale with standards for quality, security and maintainability.
• Balance delivery with long-term technical sustainability, prioritising debt and improvements.
• Drive alignment and continuous improvement across teams, resolving dependencies and challenges.
• Accelerate AI-enabled engineering and lead related change across teams.
