Job summary

IC Resources is seeking an Engineering Director for a semiconductor company delivering advanced mixed signal ICs. You will recruit and lead analog, mixed-signal, digital and layout teams, driving architecture through tapeout and silicon validation.

Responsibilities include providing technical leadership across circuit design, verification, and layout, improving processes, and collaborating with systems and test teams on DFT/DFM and production, while aligning with product roadmaps and customer

Qualifications

• MSc in Electrical Engineering required; PhD advantageous.
• 10+ years of custom analog IC design experience.
• 5+ years in technical leadership or engineering management.
• Strong mixed signal IC development experience through to production.

Job description

I am recruiting for an Engineering Director role with my client, a semiconductor company developing advanced mixed signal ICs.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, build and develop analog, mixed signal, digital and layout teams
• Lead IC development from architecture through design, tapeout and silicon validation
• Provide technical leadership across circuit design, verification and layout
• Improve development processes, methodologies and engineering efficiency
• Work with systems, test and applications teams on DFT, DFM and production
• Support product roadmaps and customer requirements
• Manage engineering resources, schedules and budgets

Experience

• MSc in Electrical Engineering or similar; PhD advantageous
• 10+ years of custom analog IC design experience
• 5+ years in technical leadership or engineering management
• Strong mixed signal IC development experience through to production
• Experience with PLLs, ADCs, DACs, references, bias circuits or regulators
• Strong understanding of low phase noise, matching, parasitics, signal integrity and ESD
• Experience with full chip verification, silicon characterisation and layout
• Proven experience recruiting and developing engineering teams
• Strong communication and problem solving skills
• Willingness to travel when required
