Job summary

TMC is seeking an Engineer Net Expansion in Hengelo to design and prepare projects for underground infrastructure, expanding the electricity grid and ensuring efficient execution from start to finish.

You will design cable and pipeline routes, create execution plans in AutoCAD and GIS, and collaborate with clients, grid operators, and permit issuers to drive the energy transition forward.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, Civil Engineering or similar field.
• At least 3 years of experience in underground infrastructure engineering (cables & pipelines).
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or GIS (ArcGIS).
• Knowledge of grid expansions and energy-related issues.
• Strong communication skills in Dutch.

Responsibilities

• Designing cable and pipeline routes for electricity grid expansions.
• Creating technical designs and execution plans in AutoCAD and GIS systems.
• Coordinating with clients, grid operators, municipalities, and permit issuers.
• Contributing ideas for efficient execution methods; monitoring progress, quality and costs.
