Job summary

The Social Hub in Amsterdam is seeking an ambitious Internal Communications & Engagement Intern to join our team. You’ll help manage our internal communications tool, write and edit articles, and craft engaging activations to boost employee experience.

Ideal candidates are enrolled university students (WO) in communications, living near Amsterdam, and fluent in English with strong writing and people skills. 32–40 hours per week, with a monthly internship stipend and access to facilities.

Qualifications

• Enrolled university student (WO) in a relevant field, eager to learn about communications.
• Living in or near Amsterdam.
• Fluent in English with strong writing skills.
• Great people and communication skills.
• A real hands-on mentality and love jumping right in to get things done.
• Organised, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced environment.
• Curious, open-minded, and eager to learn, not afraid to think outside the box.
• Digitally savvy; experience with Canva and basic video editing is a big plus.
• Nice to have: basic HTML knowledge and basic understanding of UX/UI.

Responsibilities

• Manage our internal communications tool and support ongoing development.
• Manage the internal communications calendar, ensuring balance and inclusivity.
• Write, edit and fine-tune articles and craft engaging campaigns.
• Use Canva, Figma and other design tools for multimedia content.
• Handle incoming internal communications requests.
• Support internal projects and events to promote brand and culture.
• Research trends in employee engagement and internal comms practices.
• Gather feedback and track engagement metrics for reporting.
• Support company-wide Town Halls and info-sharing events.
