Job summary

Michael Page in Amsterdam seeks an Energy Transition Consultant to support industrial and commercial clients in cutting energy costs and accelerating decarbonisation. You will blend technical energy knowledge with financial analysis and client engagement on BESS, solar PV, wind energy and energy flexibility.

You will develop techno-economic models, assess feasibility and present investment-ready proposals, collaborating with engineering teams and technology partners to deliver practical business

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Sustainable Energy Technology, Energy Engineering, Renewable Energy or related technical discipline.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in renewable energy, energy storage, energy consulting or related field; internships/projects considered.
• Knowledge of battery energy storage systems, solar PV, wind energy or energy management solutions.
• Experience with techno-economic modelling, energy system analysis or evaluating financial performance of energy projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to connect technical findings to commercial outcomes.
• Interest in B2B consulting, technical sales and business development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proactive and collaborative.
• Fluency in Dutch and English is essential.

Responsibilities

• Analyse industrial clients' energy consumption and identify opportunities for cost optimisation and decarbonisation.
• Develop techno-economic models to evaluate feasibility and financial returns of BESS, solar PV and other renewables.
• Assess opportunities to replace diesel-based power generation with cleaner and cost-effective alternatives.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals, including investment estimates, potential savings and ROI calculations.
• Collaborate with technology suppliers, engineering teams and partners to develop tailored solutions.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations, explaining technical solutions in commercial terms.
• Support business development and identify new opportunities within the Dutch energy market.
