Walton County Emergency Management Agency is seeking an Emergency Medical Services Shift Supervisor to oversee EMS shift operations, maintain the medication room, and respond to emergencies. The role involves transporting patients, documenting events, and coordinating with hospitals and EMS teams for effective care delivery.

The candidate will supervise staff, participate in training, and ensure compliance with regulations and protocols while maintaining records and reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years EMS supervisory or related experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• State EMS certification(s) required or able to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and participate in EMS shift operations.
• Maintain medication room and track medications; monitor expiration dates.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide care per protocols.
• Transport patients to appropriate care facilities.
• Coordinate with medical personnel via radio and phone; communicate patient condition.
• Schedule staff meetings and participate in training/education.
• Complete reports and maintain records; assist with mutual aid decisions.
