Job summary

Fortive's Fluke Europe B.V. in Eindhoven seeks an EMEA VAT Manager to lead VAT compliance across 30 registrations in 25 subsidiaries, collaborating with EMEA business leaders and the Fluke US headquarters finance team. You will drive cross-functional tax projects and own VAT process automation.

You will oversee tax automation using Oracle eBTax rules, iTax filings from 4Apps, and E‑invoicing integrations, ensuring timely returns and continuous improvements in a dynamic global group.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive EU VAT compliance experience in an international/US organization.
• Excellent knowledge of VAT compliance across multi-EMEA jurisdictions.
• Proven ability to initiate and drive change projects across several levels.
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hands-on, detail-oriented with the ability to balance tactical and strategic issues.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain VAT compliance across EMEA ensuring timely preparation and submission of VAT returns, EC Sales listings, and Intrastat.
• Review VAT returns and manage accurate and timely completion by the teams involved.
• Review and reconciliation of EC Sales Lists, EC Purchase lists (as required), and Intrastat Declarations for all VAT registrations, ensuring accurate, timely and complete submission of all returns.
• Validate internal processes and transactions for proper VAT accounting.
• Maximize efficiencies in operating and reporting systems to reduce the VAT liabilities within the legislative framework.
• Liaise with and manage the working relationship with tax authorities during routine audits and ad hoc enquiries.
• Keep up to date with local rules and regulations across EMEA and translate the impact on our internal processes.
