Job summary

Airwallex is seeking a regulatory lawyer to support EU/EEA matters, focusing on licensing, passporting, and compliance. Based in London or Amsterdam, you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure regulatory alignment for payments and financial services across the region.

The ideal candidate is a qualified lawyer with 6–8 years post‑qualification experience, fluent in English, and comfortable engaging with regulators.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with 6–8 years post‑qualification experience (P3 level).
• Strong regulatory experience in fintech/payments.
• Experience engaging with EU and national regulators is a plus.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide regulatory legal support for EU/EEA with focus on EU/EEA markets.
• Advise on licensing, passporting, and regulatory strategy.
• Coordinate with Product Legal, Regulatory Compliance, and external counsel.
• Lead regulatory submissions and liaise with regulators.
• Leverage AI/tools to enhance team effectiveness.
