Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Amsterdam is seeking a Regional Category Manager for temporary labor across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. You will lead sourcing, negotiation, and contract management to build a compliant, cost-efficient supplier network.

The role requires strong stakeholder management, knowledge of labor laws, and fluency in English; Arabic is a plus. Hybrid work model with international scope and cross-border collaboration with global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in temporary labor category management, strategic sourcing, or procurement across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
• In-depth understanding of legislative restrictions, labor laws, and compliance requirements for temporary staffing in targeted regions.
• Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills.
• High level of accountability with ability to manage complex projects in a multinational environment.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and implement sourcing strategies for temporary labor across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
• Lead end-to-end procurement processes: supplier identification, negotiation, contract management, and commercial agreements.
• Ensure sourcing activities comply with local labor laws and regulatory requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with staffing suppliers and agencies, evaluating performance.
• Identify risks and implement business continuity measures to ensure uninterrupted labor supply.
• Drive category programs to improve cost efficiency, workforce quality, and reliability.
• Collaborate with Global SCM Category Lead to implement and enhance the category strategy.
