Job summary

SMITH in Haarlem/Amsterdam is seeking an HR Generalist to support the EMEA region and be the first point of contact for employees. You will partner with HRBP, Benefits, Payroll, and other departments to ensure smooth HR operations, manage onboarding/offboarding, and handle leaves and HRIS data entry.

The role offers a hybrid work setup (face-to-face in Haarlem/Amsterdam up to 1 day per week preferred) with home working up to 2 days.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of HR experience.
• Strong knowledge of Dutch labor law.
• Experience with HRIS; Workday is a plus.
• Fluency in English and Dutch is required.

Responsibilities

• Answer HR requests as first point of contact.
• Manage sick leaves and reintegration cases.
• Track maternity/parental leave and UWV requests.
• Inform employees about benefits and time-off plans.
• Draft and maintain employee contracts and records.
• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes.
