Job summary

Smith is seeking an HR Generalist for the EMEA region, based in Haarlem, responsible for HR operations and employee inquiries across multiple countries. You will partner with HR colleagues and external vendors to support a fast-growing international organization.

This role requires 2-4 years of HR experience, fluent English and Dutch, strong organizational skills, and a good understanding of Dutch labor law.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of HR experience in a professional setting.
• Fluency in English and Dutch is required; other European languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer HR requests as the first point of contact for employees.
• Manage sick leaves and reintegration cases.
• Track and report maternity, parental leave, and UWV requests.
• Inform employees about benefits and time-off plans.
• Draft and maintain employee contracts and records.
• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes and exit interviews.
• Audit employee files in Workday.
• Collaborate with Payroll to provide monthly HR input.
