Job summary

Qualifications

• Broad experience (3–5 years) in customs compliance and import/export in EMEA
• Strong analytical skills
• Auditing experience
• Experience in an international environment
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage competing priorities in tight timeframes with limited resources
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Proactive, resilient and flexible, with outside-the-box thinking
• Fluent in Dutch and English, written and spoken
• Strong Excel skills with experience in customs/ERP and trade data analysis

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute post-clearance audit programs across EMEA to ensure compliance.
• Provide expert guidance to internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Oversee customs brokerage reporting and use data analytics to identify risks.
• Serve as the operational contact for customs brokers and resolve queries.
• Handle retrospective declaration adjustments and post-entry amendments.
• Support HS classification and origin determination across EMEA.
• Assist duty optimization and use of special procedures (warehousing, inward processing).
• Monitor broker costs and drive cost transparency and efficiency.
• Collaborate with APAC Customs on FTAs and duty savings.
• Support audits and respond to queries from authorities in EMEA.
• Contribute to continuous process improvement of customs operations and risk management.]
