Job summary

Cover Genius is seeking a Senior Claims Manager, EMEA to establish the operational foundation for hyper-growth in a heavily regulated environment. You will lead a multi-country claims operation, drive SLA compliance, onboarding, and governance across the UK, EU, and broader EMEA markets.

You will champion AI-driven adjudication, human-in-the-loop strategies, and end-to-end automation while ensuring loss ratios meet targets.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of leadership in claims within a high-growth Insurtech or Insurance environment.
• 10+ years of experience handling Travel, A&H, Marine or Motor claims (multi-LOB a plus).
• Operational expertise in PM, QA, risk identification & issue resolution, training and onboarding.
• Deep familiarity with cross-border regulatory environments (FCA, EU IDD/EIOPA), multi-currency settlements, and multi-language operations.
• Experience driving workflow automation, straight‑through processing (STP), or re-engineering complex processes to improve speed and efficiency without headcount growth.
• Experience managing BPO/TPA vendor relationships to SLAs, QA metrics, and unit cost targets.
• Proven track record of meeting KPIs related to unit economics, NPS, and loss ratios.

Responsibilities

• Hire, develop, and oversee a high-performing claims organization in a hybrid setup.
• Drive continuous improvement to improve customer and financial outcomes.
• Lead audits and build relationships with insurers; develop staff from assessors to managers.
• Partner with Product/Service Design/Tech for AI-driven adjudication and automation in claims.
• Lead regional governance of loss ratio management, technical severity controls and fraud monitoring.
• Oversee underwriter referral workflows with delegated authority across regional lines.
• Sign-off on new EMEA merchant partner launches; ensure playbooks and training are ready.
• Drive regional operational evolution by partnering with QA, Training, and Insurance teams.
