As we continue to expand our market presence, we are seeking a dedicated Electrotechnical Field Engineer, to strengthen our team and help us unlock new opportunities in the maritime sector.

The Role

In addition, you have a basic understanding of industrial automation and PLC logic. While you’re not expected to design or program PLCs, you’re capable of performing tests, logging into a PLC for troubleshooting purposes, and effectively communicating with software engineers by providing relevant feedback.

Lines are short within the company and the you’re encouraged to provide feedback from the experiences in the field, to improve production, design, and engineering. In doing so, you contribute to the enhancement of work instructions and designs. The product is quickly developing through intensive feedback from all disciplines.

The operations team is a growing dynamic group of 5 people, who work closely together directly with the design and engineering department. As an Electrotechnical Field Engineer you report to the Projects and Operations manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnosing and resolving issues on vessels with VentoFoils.
  • Assisting in commissioning of VentoFoil systems.
  • Performing repairs and (re)configurations on client vessels.
  • Provide feedback on product improvements and enhance internal work instructions.
Qualification and skills
  • Background in electrical engineering.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and work in dynamic, on-site conditions.
  • Able to support in other (non-electrical) technical disciplines if necessary.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic understanding of industrial automation and PLC systems.

Preferred:

  • Educated for and/or experience in the maritime industry.
We offer
  • A role through which you can actively contribute to sustainable change.
  • A competitive salary with additional benefits.
  • Work in a forward-thinking team of professionals committed to revolutionizing sustainability in the maritime industry.
  • Flexibility to work (partially) from home.
  • Personal growth opportunities and room to learn, grow, and thrive within an ambitious, rapidly-growing scale-up.
  • A team culture where your ideas, opinions, and contributions are valued at all levels.
