Job summary

Resolvo Engineering B.V. is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain and repair hydraulic, mechanical and partly electrical shipboard systems. You will inspect steering gears and perform tests, adjustments and balancing.

You should have a technical background (mechanical engineering, hydraulics or related) and experience as a service technician or similar role. Dutch is essential, English is a plus, and standby/on-call shifts are part of the job; occasional travel and working at

Field Service Engineer

Are you passionate about technology? Can you see yourself working on various mechanical installations on board ships, with a focus on mechanical and hydraulic systems? If your answers are – ”yes”, then this opportunity might be a perfect fit for you.

What are you going to do?

As a Service Engineer you will be involved in installation, maintenance, and repair of hydraulic, mechanical, and partially electrical installations on board ships. You will perform inspections on steering gears and systems. Resolving malfunctions and performing repairs; Testing, adjusting and balancing installations is also a huge part of the job. A little bit of paper work does not scare you, because after the job is done service and inspection reports are necessary to present.

Who are you?

• You have a technical background, for example in mechanical engineering, vehicles, hydraulics, mechanics, or service;
• You have experience as a service technician, breakdown technician, automotive mechanic, truck mechanic or in a similar technical position;
• Experience in maritime sector is a plus, but not a must;
• You can independently analyze malfunctions and perform technical repairs;
• You have a practical mindset and enjoy working at different locations;
• You communicate respectfully. Good command of Dutch and preferably English;
• You are willing to participate in the on-call service;

• You don’t mind standby shifts (once every 6 weeks).

What do we offer?

• Standart working hours 7:45 to 16:30, with reasonable flexibility;
• With sufficient experience you get your own service van;
• An opportunity to work abroad occasionally (opportunity, not an obligation);

• A standby fee of €200 per week of downtime;
• Overtime pay of 140% and 170%;
• Plenty of variety between jobs;
• 25 vacation days and 13 ADV days, with the option to sell part of the ADV;
• Ample attention to professional and personal development through inside academic tools.

• Salary of 3500 up to 4000 depending on experience.
