Job summary

Kinetron BV in Tilburg, part of the ASSA ABLOY Group, seeks an Electromechanical Design Engineer to drive the design of motors, generators and drivers from concept through production and end of life.

The role emphasizes FEA-based optimization, MATLAB/Python modeling, NI-based testing, and close teamwork with mechanical and electronics engineers to ensure superior, integrated performance.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience using finite element analysis for electromagnetic simulations.
• Strong understanding of motors, generators and winding concepts.
• Programming experience with MATLAB and/or Python for analysis and automation.
• Experience using NI data acquisition hardware for test setups.
• Ability to collaborate with mechanical and electronics teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and perform electromagnetic simulations of electromechanical systems.
• Create and maintain models and tools for full-system simulations.
• Conduct system-level optimization and parametric studies.
• Develop experimental test setups using NI hardware to validate concepts.
• Define test plans and evaluate prototype performance under operating conditions.
• Collaborate with mechanical and electronics teams for integrated system performance.
