Job summary

Edge Executive Search Group is seeking a senior engineer to design and develop integrated electromechanical systems, robotics, and automated machinery. You will combine mechanical, electrical, and software components to deliver complete engineering solutions and prototype, test, and validate systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, model, and develop integrated electromechanical systems, robotics, and automated machinery.
• Combine mechanical, electrical, and software components to deliver comprehensive engineering solutions.
• Develop prototypes, conduct hands-on assembly, testing, and validation of systems.
• Utilize CAD tools and simulation software such as MATLAB to model system behaviour and assess performance.
• Program embedded systems, microcontrollers, and PLCs used in automated equipment.
• Integrate sensors, actuators, data acquisition systems, and other hardware components.
• Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to ensure seamless system integration.
• Work with production and quality teams to optimise systems during deployment.
• Diagnose technical failures, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement design improvements.
• Prepare technical specifications, design documentation, user manuals, and maintenance SOPs.
• Ensure machinery compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
• Provide ongoing support through deployment, optimisation, and troubleshooting.
