Prodrive Technologies in the Netherlands is seeking an Electrical Safety Engineer within our Production Engineering team to design and improve electrical safety architectures for production and test systems. You will translate standards into practical designs, work with software and mechanical engineers, and ensure equipment is safe, reliable and suitable for daily production use.

Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, machine building, industrial automation, power cabinets or test systems.
- Ability to read, interpret and develop electrical schematics across multiple voltage domains.
- Knowledge of electrical safety principles, grounding and protective earth.
- Experience with standards such as IEC 61010-1, IEC 60204-1, ISO 12100 and Low Voltage Directive.
- Strong communication in English within multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical schematics and safety functions for production and test systems.
- Develop solutions that safely disable hazardous voltages when a DUT is connected, disconnected or accessed.
- Define grounding, protective earth and earth bonding concepts.
- Perform and support electrical risk assessments and translate outcomes into practical designs.
- Apply electrical safety standards in practical, manufacturable designs.
- Review and improve existing test systems for safety, reliability and maintainability.
- Support verification, validation and documentation against EMC, safety and machine directives.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and production stakeholders.
- Contribute to reusable designs and continuous improvement in Production Engineering.
