Job summary

Prodrive Technologies is seeking an Electrical Safety Engineer - Test Systems in the Eindhoven area. You will design safety circuits, develop methods to safely disable hazardous voltages, and establish grounding concepts while collaborating with software and mechanical engineers.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics and at least two years of relevant experience in electrical engineering or test systems, with a focus on safety standards and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics or related field.
• At least two years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, machine building, industrial automation, power cabinets or test systems.
• Able to read, interpret and develop electrical schematics with multiple voltage domains.
• Understand electrical safety principles including grounding and low-voltage systems.
• Familiarity with IEC 61010-1, IEC 60204-1, ISO 12100 and the Low Voltage Directive.
• Translate requirements and risk assessments into practical electrical safety solutions.
• Experience creating and maintaining technical and compliance documentation.
• Strong English communication and cross-disciplinary teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical schematics and safety functions for production and test systems.
• Develop solutions to safely disable hazardous voltages.
• Define grounding, protective earth and earth bonding concepts.
• Perform electrical risk assessments.
• Apply electrical safety standards and directives in practical designs.
• Review and improve existing test systems.
• Support verification, validation and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and production stakeholders.
