Job summary

Dornan Engineering Group in Groningen is seeking an Electrical Project Manager to lead the delivery of high‑value electrical infrastructure for a hyperscale data centre in the Netherlands. You will manage safety, budget, and schedule on a compressed timeline while coordinating installations, testing, and handover to the client.

The ideal candidate will be trade or degree qualified in electrical disciplines with a track record in electrical contracting and at least 8 years in construction

Qualifications

• Must be trade or degree qualified in electrical discipline.
• 8+ years in a construction management role within electrical contracting.
• Experience in data centre construction is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily electrical project delivery with safety, quality, schedule, and budget targets.
• Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and client teams across installation and commissioning.
• Track progress, procurement, labour, and risks to avoid delays.
• Lead site meetings, provide progress updates, and maintain reporting.
• Ensure compliance with electrical standards, QA/QC, and HSE requirements.
• Support testing and commissioning to handover to the client.

Dornan Engineering Group is a leading international engineering contractor delivering high-value projects across Europe, UK & Ireland. Based in Groningen, this is an exciting opportunity to join our growing Critical Infrastructure Division as a an Electrical Project Manager, supporting the delivery of our Hyperscale Data Centre in the North of Holland.

You will be responsible to safely deliver high-voltage, mission-critical electrical infrastructure on a compressed schedule, while meticulously managing scope, budget, and design-to-site coordination.

Your day will include:

• Manage daily electrical project delivery, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget targets are met.
• Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and client teams across installation and commissioning activities.
• Track project progress, procurement, labour, and key risks, resolving issues to avoid delays.
• Lead site meetings, provide progress updates, and maintain project documentation and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with electrical standards, QA/QC processes, and health & safety requirements.
• Support testing and commissioning to achieve successful system handover to the client.

About You:

• Trade or Degree qualified in an Electrical discipline.
• Proven track record in the Electrical contracting space, with at least 8 years in a construction management position
• Previous experience in data centre construction projects is desirable
