Electrical Mechanic/Commissioning Engineer

Job description: The company sells and produces touring cars and is part of an international concern. Each factory has 200–250 employees. It is an engineer-to-order factory, meaning each bus contains customer-specific features that must be tested for that customer.

The responsibilities include:

  1. Independently testing and troubleshooting electrical systems of buses for malfunctions or error messages, including commissioning of various electrical systems.
  2. Receiving orders from the electrical engineer in the business office, based on drawings, bill of materials, or verbal instructions.
  3. Working independently according to drawings and bill of materials.
  4. Following company rules, installation, and safety regulations.
  5. Installing standard and customer-specific (specials) electrical systems.
  6. Testing electrical installations and resolving malfunctions or error messages.
  7. Commissioning electrical systems, including software downloads and hardware parameter settings.
  8. Commissioning and energizing electric vehicles independently as a NEN-9140 skilled worker.
  9. Providing weekly feedback to engineering on electrical issues.
  10. Serving as a source of information for other production employees.
  11. Reporting unresolved failures to the process owner.
  12. Ensuring the quality of own work.
  13. Participating in safety and improvement discussions.
  14. Testing inputs and outputs with electrical voltage, pneumatics, and hydraulics, and making necessary adjustments.
  15. Adjusting motor drives per manuals.
  16. Testing software programs controlling the vehicle, with support for prototypes or deviations.
  17. Completing checklists and updating drawings and bill of materials.
  18. Conducting evaluation interviews with electrical engineers, reporting problems, and suggesting improvements.
  19. Testing electrical installations based on diagrams, drawings, and instructions, requesting clarification when needed.
  20. Using testing and commissioning equipment independently.
  21. Deciding on auxiliary tools and materials usage.
  22. Updating installation changes on drawings and submitting them to the Work Planner.
  23. Commissioning and energizing electric vehicles independently, with support for new or incomplete programs.
  24. Handling valuable components carefully to prevent damage.
  25. Seeking assistance for errors in drawings or bill of materials from relevant engineers or team leaders.
  26. Performing final tests independently, escalating issues when necessary.
  27. Adhering to quality, occupational health and safety, environmental, and safety standards.
